Meet Our Team: David Wright

David Wright joined the Crystal Flash team in the fall of 2021. In his role as an Analyst in CF’s Supply Department, David is responsible for commercial fuel contracting, supplier contracting, and price management.

Knowing how critical fuels are to keeping its customers’ business operations running, Crystal Flash has an internal, dedicated team of experts in its Supply Department — providing a higher level of service than what many other regional fuel suppliers offer. The importance of providing customers with reliable access to fuel, when and where they need it, drives CF to maintain a diverse, dynamic supply plan.

One priority of CF’s Supply Department is to ensure that a variety of options remain available to help prepare for any supply challenge that the world may bring. As such, Crystal Flash maintains active access to over 20 different supply terminals and has relationships with more than 20 unique fuel suppliers.

When asked what a typical day as a Supply Analyst looks like, David shared, “I work with our customers to help structure their contracts in a way that will best cover their fuel needs while protecting them from market volatility. Our fuel contracting program allows Crystal Flash commercial customers to know what their fuel costs are going to be so they can focus on other aspects of their business.”

David attended the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL, and has a degree in Business Management. Before coming to Crystal Flash, David worked in the manufacturing sector. He resides in Bellevue with his wife and six kids (four boys and two girls) with baby number seven due in January 2024. Most of his free time is spent with his family and doing upgrades on their new home.

When asked what he would like CF’s Commercial and Agriculture customers to know about his role, David shared, “Customers can feel free to call me anytime to discuss what is affecting markets on a day-to-day basis or for additional information on our fuel contracting program. It’s really rewarding to be a valuable resource for them so they can focus less on the ups-and-downs of the market and more on running a successful business.”
