Rebates available for Michigan homeowners who install new propane water heaters
Energy Star propane water heaters save consumers from 13% to 20% in annual energy costs when compared to standard electric models. Using propane can also cut your home’s carbon emissions from water heating nearly in half compared to an electric model.
The Michigan Propane Commission has launched a new rebate program that provides consumers a $100 rebate when they replace an existing propane water heater with a new Energy Star propane water heater. Consumers can get $150 when replacing an electric water heater with an Energy Star propane water heater or in a new build scenario.
