Crystal Flash supported over 170 community events and organizations in 2019

Crystal Flash believes that giving back to the communities where we live and work is an integral part of who we are. Each year, Crystal Flash supports nearly 200 different organizations and causes throughout our Michigan service footprint, with additional emphasis on supporting the communities we serve via our various bulk plant locations. Crystal Flash has three main pillars of corporate charitable giving, agriculture/rural life advancement, family utility assistance and cancer research/assistance.

2019 Community Involvement Highlights
• Crystal Flash supports exploration and learning through our annual ‘Fueling Creative Learning’ grant. This program provides vital transportation funding, enabling thousands of students from the rural communities we serve to spend an educational and fun day at Grand Rapids Public Museum. On December 4, 2019, we celebrated reaching the ‘10,000 students transported’ milestone.

• On November 23, 2019, Crystal Flash participated in the 100th Annual Art Van Santa Parade through downtown Grand Rapids. We were honored to have a team of breast cancer survivors, fighters and supporters representing Susan G. Komen Michigan as our special guests. Also appearing in the parade was one of Crystal Flash’s famous ‘Pinky’ propane trucks. Each year, Crystal Flash makes a donation to Komen Michigan based on every gallon of propane delivered via our Pinky trucks. On September 28, 2019, Crystal Flash also sponsored the Komen Michigan ‘More Than Pink Walk’ at John Ball Zoo. Additionally, the Crystal Flash team raised/donated funds for Komen by participating in a workplace giving campaign. Crystal Flash pitched in and matched all donations made by our teammates. We’re proud to partner with Komen Michigan in support of our mutual mission of ‘Fueling the Cure’.

• Each year, Crystal Flash participates in numerous community/county fairs and parades across our service areas. We’re proud to support the activities and efforts of youth agriculture organizations, such as Michigan 4-H.

• Other organizations that receive support from Crystal Flash bulk plant locations across the state include law enforcement groups, little league organizations, schools, regional festivals, food banks, animal shelters and more.
