Crystal Flash Partners with Propane Lane to Launch Newaygo’s First Drive-thru Propane Refilling Station

This new partnership brings fast, convenient portable tank filling to Newaygo County residents.

Crystal Flash, Inc., a 100% employee-owned and Michigan-based fuel distribution company, is partnering with Propane Lane to provide a new option for portable propane tank refilling. This collaboration marks the opening of Propane Lane’s newest location in Newaygo, the first site to be developed in partnership with Crystal Flash. Owned and operated by Peter Metz, Propane Lane has seen notable success with its two existing locations in Comstock Park and Wyoming, MI.

Located at 7667 E 36th St. Newaygo, MI 49337, the new facility has been added to Crystal Flash’s existing Newaygo location and features a convenient drive-thru model for propane tank refilling. Designed to eliminate the hassle of traditional tank exchanges, drive-thru service allows customers to remain in or near their vehicles while their portable propane tanks (for grills, space heating, RVs, forklifts, and more up to 100#) are professionally filled on-site. In addition, Propane Lane requalifies tanks, repairs valves, and sells reconditioned tanks, a unique added value for the residents and visitors of Newaygo.

The Newaygo site represents a milestone for both companies. It is the first time Crystal Flash has collaborated with a vendor for a direct-to-consumer refilling station and serves as a first step outside of Kent County for Propane Lane’s expanding footprint into Northern West Michigan.

The new Newaygo location is officially open for business starting April 13, 2026. Regular operating hours will be Monday-Saturday from 8am-7pm and Sunday from 9am-5pm.
